The Jensen® Luma 112 Tornado 65 is an official DynIR from Jensen Loudspeakers®, captured from a custom built open-back cabinet inspired by a vintage 1×12 Mesa Boogie® 23” enclosure, outfitted with a 12″ Tornado 65 driver.
When it comes to contemporary guitar sonics, Jensen Loudspeakers® exist in a class of their own. Not only were they the certified must-have for Leo Fender’s first foray into Guitar Amplifiers, Jensen® cemented their heritage throughout the 1940s, -50s and -60s as the go-to for the period’s most legendary amps (including Fender®, Ampeg® and Gibson® no less). Fast forward to today and Jensen® exist as a steadfast pillar for traditional and contemporary guitar sonics alike – whether it’s classic vintage tone brimming with vibey mojo, or modern state-of-the-art design engineered to influence generation after generation, Jensen® continue their mission of pioneering drivers to inspire their customer’s creativity with sublime tone and night-after-night reliability.
It’s a stone hard fact: few speakers speak ‘classic rock’ like the Neodymium powered Tornado 65. Sharing a similar 1 ¾” voice coil design with the Nighthawk, it delivers the pinnacle in vintage and modern rock tones. Fusing a controlled top end, a British-voiced midrange and a fat, warm bass response, the Tornado Stealth 65 is the prime choice for players seeking vibey classic rock tones complete with the punch, power and presence their performance demands! Fit this in a custom-built open-back cabinet inspired by a Mesa Boogie® 23” enclosure and you’re set with exceptionally tuned cabinet resonance, a tight dispersion and the ultimate platform that delivers the pure unadulterated sonics of the companion driver.
Available individually or as part of the “Jensen®’s Tornado Series” DynIR Cabinet Collection, the Jensen® Luma 112 Tornado 65 has been exquisitely captured using studio-grade mics and recording peripherals to deliver the perfect blend of primo tone and seamless adaptation from the studio to the stage.
