Torpedo Remote? What’s it For?
Torpedo Remote is a piece of software designed to make controlling your Torpedo device as easy as possible. To find out how to get started with Torpedo Remote, please read this article.
What’s The Big Deal About “Dual Miking”?
Dual miking adds a depth and quality to your tone that just cannot be found when using single static IRs. To find out more about dual miking please read this article.
What’s The Big Deal About “Tube-Stage Modeling™ (TSM™)” technology?
OPUS ships as standard with 5 pristine TSM™ Preamp emulations expertly voiced by our in-house sound design team; for liberated tonal possibilities, each TSM™ Preamp can be combined with a fully customisable TSM™ Poweramp featuring a choice of 4 tube amp models (6L6, EL34, EL84 and KT88), Pentode / Triode, Push-Pull (PP) ‘Class AB’, or Single Ended (SE) ‘Class A’ configurations. Plus, with 10 total slots for future Preamp models via free Firmware Updates, the sonic possibilities are virtually limitless!
Can I Hook up my Pedal Collection to OPUS?
You certainly can! We recommend adding drive, fuzz and distortion pedals before OPUS and any modulation or spacial FX (Reverb & Delay) after OPUS; in the case of FX added after OPUS, please ensure these are capable of receiving a line level signal.
Is OPUS Standalone? Do I Need a Computer?
You can use OPUS standalone, but preset and cabinet transfer will require USB connection to Torpedo Remote. For complete ease-of-use, we recommend using the Torpedo Wireless Remote app via a phone/tablet, for creating and managing your OPUS presets.
Is OPUS a Load Box?
There is no load box within OPUS – for the safety and protection of your amp we recommend using a Torpedo Captor to absorb the literal load of the amplifier.
Can I Connect OPUS to a FRFR Speaker?
You can indeed, from the XLR & LINE outputs only – the SPEAKER OUT should only ever be connected to a regular guitar/bass cabinet.
Are OPUS’s Headphone Output and Aux Input Stereo?
Yes indeed! Both the Aux Input and Headphone output can cater for Stereo Signal playback, meaning that Stereo source connected to the Aux input will be monitored in stereo by the headphones only. Please note, the internal DSP processing of guitar or bass tones in OPUS is Mono and as such is audible only in Mono via the headphone output. When playing a Stereo Source via the Aux input and a DSP processed signal from the OPUS architecture, the Aux input will be monitored in Stereo and the DSP signal monitored in mono via the Headphone output.
