The Steve Stevens Platinum Collection
When you think ‘quintessential rock tone’, packed to the rafters with one-of-a-kind character, and a mainstay on some of the world’s all-time best-selling records, Steve Stevens exists in a class of his own.
Considered one of the most original players to emerge from the ’80s rock scene, and long time collaborator with Billy Idol (a co-writer of such greats including “Rebel Yell”, “Eyes Without A Face” and “Flesh for Fantasy”), Steve has cemented himself as a veritable pillar at the leading edge of pristine guitar sonics.
Whether it’s his seminal performance on Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana”, his iconic Grammy Award winning performance on “Top Gun Anthem”, or his work with Vince Neil on “Exposed”, Steve’s unmistakable sound is often imitated but never surpassed.
With his inaugural Two notes DynIR release – “The Steve Stevens Platinum Collection” – Steve empowers you with the fundamental component of his tone-bending knowhow; an exquisite collection of 5 hard-to-come-by and “certified classic” cabs in his expansive collection.
Devising Steve’s inaugural DynIR release demanded a special-recipe deserving of this icon in the modern world of guitar-driven virtuosity. First, the venue: San Fernando Valley’s illusive state-of-the-art recording space, Studio 606. Next, the console: the legendary Neve 8028 recording console from Sound City. Then, the all-important cabinets: five hand-picked 4×12’s from Steve’s personal collection.
Steve’s iconic Scumback® Purple Raygun cabinet? It’s here! A super-rare V30-loaded 1971 Marshall® Basketweave 4×12 cab (complete with Jim Marshall’s hand-drawn signature)? Oh Yes! What about the V30-equipped 1980’s Marshall® 4×12 cab that graced the seminal Top Gun Anthem and Michael Jackson’s Dirty Dianna? How could we not include it!
In short, this is no run-of-the-mill cabinet release. This is the embodiment of Steve’s legendary tone, primed and ready to empower players of all walks with top-flight sonics.
